In March of 2004 the University of Washington Wind Ensemble traveled to the Kansai region of Japan where they shared concerts with Japanese wind ensembles in major venues in Kobe, Suma and Himeji. A lengthy story and accompanying photos detailing the tour appeared

in the June 2004 issue of Band Journal, a Japanese monthly magazine that has 250,000-300,000 subscribers. The University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences magazine also profiled the tour.
